Built by People
Who Build
Not a company that manages developers. Two founders who write the code, train the models, and ship the products themselves.
The Origin
Infinity Labs was never an accident of proximity. It was the inevitable result of two people who never wanted to just pass exams - they wanted to build things that could stand on their own.
Long before the company had a name, there was a pattern.
Andrei was architecting systems that pushed limits - training a custom 650M-parameter language model on AWS infrastructure using 100B tokens, designing a tokenizer with state-of-the-art compression, deploying multimodal APIs that combined language, vision, and speech. Not as theory. As working software.
Valentina was building intelligent applications with production intent - fine-tuning NLP models on a 200,000-row Romanian dataset she engineered herself, publishing a 5-star iOS app with over 5,000 downloads, and developing full-scale macOS tools for AI-powered document analysis.
They competed in IT and entrepreneurship competitions. They won. Repeatedly. But competition was never the goal. It was a testing ground.
They co-founded ASOMI and grew it into a 100+ member student association, organizing events, leading initiatives, and shaping a technical community rather than just existing inside one. They taught children to code. They mentored. They led.
At the same time, they were building products that didn't feel like student projects.
A 650M-parameter LLM trained on optimized data.
A custom, multimodal AI API.
A full scale medical triage kiosk prototype.
A production-ready macOS NLP platform.
A 5-star rated App Store application.
Somewhere between infrastructure-level model training and real users leaving real reviews, the distinction disappeared.
They were not preparing for the industry.
They were already operating like it.
Infinity Labs is not a startup born from a classroom. It is the formalization of a long-standing instinct: to build their own products, control their own direction, and evolve relentlessly - from idea to infrastructure to impact.
Meet the Founders

Andrei-Valentin Tănase
Co-FounderEngineers systems from first principles.
Andrei built a 650-million parameter large language model entirely from scratch: custom transformer architecture, proprietary tokenizer, distributed training on Amazon SageMaker AI using eight NVIDIA A100 80GB GPUs and 100B tokens. The model achieves benchmark results competitive with systems trained on significantly larger datasets.
Supernova was not an academic exercise. It required designing compression-efficient tokenization, optimizing large-scale training, validating performance through industry benchmarks, and deploying the model through a multimodal API integrating language, image, and speech capabilities. A research paper detailing its architecture is set for publication.
Before that, he pre-trained Lexigen (220M parameters), built VitaLink - a machine learning-powered hospital triage kiosk prototype - and developed multiple production iOS applications.
But large models are only part of the story. Andrei also designed and shipped a suite of ultra-niche legal applications that required extensive web scraping, data extraction, normalization, and the creation of proprietary legal datasets. When structured data did not exist, he built the pipelines himself. When APIs were not available, he engineered alternatives. These projects demanded precision, regulatory awareness, and full ownership of the stack from raw data collection to deployed mobile products.
He holds Apple App Development and Microsoft Azure certifications and earned multiple top placements in national IT competitions, including 1st Prize at ESTIC in 2025.
Beyond engineering, Andrei co-founded ASOMI, scaling it to over 100 members and coordinating technology-focused initiatives within the university community. He has taught programming to children and mentored competitive teams through hands-on guidance.
His work follows a consistent pattern: understand the system deeply, build the missing infrastructure, and ship something that stands on its own.

Valentina-Gabriela Corcodel
Co-FounderBuilds intelligent software that ships - and gets used.
Valentina developed FusionCalc, a five-mode iOS calculator with an integrated AI solver, published on the App Store with over 5,000 downloads and a 5-star rating. She designed the interface, architected the application, implemented every feature in Swift and SwiftUI, integrated AI-powered functionality, and managed deployment end to end. Product vision, execution, release - all owned.
Her work extends beyond interface design into data and model engineering.
She built DocSense, a macOS application for intelligent document analysis, engineering a 200,000-row Romanian-language dataset through large-scale web scraping and preprocessing.
Using HuggingFace transformers, she fine-tuned NLP models capable of summarization, title generation, keyword extraction, and contextual question generation. The challenge was not just model accuracy, but translating complex NLP pipelines into a clean, native SwiftUI experience that feels intuitive rather than technical.
Her team reached the Innovation Labs finals (Top 17 out of 262 nation-wide) and earned 2nd Prize at ESTIC, validating both technical depth and product clarity.
Valentina approaches iOS engineering as a discipline, not a feature checklist. Architecture decisions are deliberate. State management is intentional. Performance, interaction design, and edge cases are treated as first-class concerns. She specializes in SwiftUI and modern iOS architectural patterns, with certifications from Apple and Microsoft.
Her strength lies in translating AI capability into usable products. Not demos. Not prototypes. Applications that people install, rely on, and rate five stars.
What We Believe
Ship Over Slide Decks
We don't make prototypes that live in Figma forever. If it doesn't reach real users, it doesn't count.
Depth Over Keywords
We'd rather master three technologies than list thirty. Our expertise is deep enough to build from scratch.
Founders, Not Staff
When you hire us, you work with the people who built Supernova and FusionCalc. Not a middleman.
Build What Matters
We choose projects we believe in. Your success is our success - we're invested in the outcome.
Let's work together
We're always interested in meeting people who are building something meaningful. Say hello.
