The Story
Every iPhone has a calculator. Ours has five. FusionCalc started as a question: what if a calculator wasn't just a utility but a tool that actually adapted to how different people do math?
A student needs scientific mode. A developer needs hex and binary. Someone checking their groceries needs a unit converter. An engineering student stuck on a problem needs step-by-step AI guidance. We built all of that into one app - and then shipped it to the App Store.
The AI solver was the hardest part. We wanted it to not just give answers, but explain the process - the way a good tutor would. We integrated Google's Gemini AI with custom prompting to break down complex problems into understandable steps.
The result? A 5-star rating on the App Store and over 5,000 users who rely on FusionCalc daily.
